This loyal hound is an Ostheimer classic. It was one of the first figures designed by the Ostheimer family for children in a Steiner school more than 70 years ago. It was designed as part of a set to go with a shepherd (the one on the iconic Ostheimer logo), and a small flock of sheep). This dog has a been carefully handcrafted in a neutral sitting pose, all0wing for a shields imagination to bring it to life in imaginary play.
The Ostheimer shepherd depicted in the logo, and various sizes and postures of sheep are available individually to mix and match, to form a collection for story telling and imaginative play.

Shepherd’s Dog.
Ostheimer have been handcrafting the finest natural wooden toys in Germany for more than 70 years. Inspired by the Waldorf educational principles of Rudolf Steiner, each figure is individually carved with love and care using Ostheimer’s signature soft shapes and gentle colours, bringing warmth and beauty into children’s imaginary play and story-telling.
