The nursery rhyme of Little Boy Blue comes to mind: ‘……the cows in the meadow, the sheep in the corn; where’s the little boy who looks after the sheep?” but this little blue boy is far from asleep; he is standing alert whilst the child tasks him to look after any of the farm animals. He is also at home in a nativity scene caring for the sheep.
